rapidly expanding Commercial Masonry Contractor
based out of Wilkesboro NC with multiple
projects running at any given time. Tripling
gross earnings in the past 2 years and completing
over 22 large scale projects in that time,
we are again looking at a strong year of
growth in 2007. This requires the hiring
of strong work crews and dedicated office
personnel with proven work experience to
fulfill our goal of being the most respected
name in our business. A WordCo employee

Requirements: The qualified
applicant will possess a high school diploma
or equivalent and at least 5 years experience
leading crews as a superintendent in the
fast-track commercial masonry field. Travel
required.
Recommended: Bilingual,
over 5 years experience, experience with
big box retail buildings including Wal-Mart,
Target, Best Buy and Dick's.
Duties: Duties include
oversight of 19 man crews (8 masons, 8 laborers,
and 2 operators, 1 foreman). Responsible
for laying an average of 3000 block a day
under normal working conditions. Superintendents
coordinate the field work and keep communication
open with office personnel including the
projects manager and quality control director.
Must possess strong problem solving skills
to handle unforseen difficulties. Must possess
strong organizational skills to keep workflow
productive throughout the course of the
project (6-8 weeks). Time off every other
week.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. 3 years
experience inspecting or overseeing commercial
masonry projects. One year of Infrared Camera
experience. Computer skills including Microsoft
Office. Strong organizational skills required.
Travel required. Requires a move to the
Wilkesboro NC area, home of WordCo's office
base.
Recommended: Bilingual.
BS degree-engineering/architecture. Experience
with big box retail buildings including
Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and Dick's.
Duties: Duties include
day to day oversight of quality control
directors for each of our 3-5 crews. Compilation
of daily reports and daily pictures into
comprehensive jobsite manuals. Responsible
for multiple visits to each jobsite to assure
proper procedures and protocol. Responsible
for maintaining an up-to-date deficiency
log for each job and assuring that each
problem is fixed before the crew leaves
the jobsite. Responsible also for infrared
camera reports of each jobsite that will
be used to correct grouting deficiencies
in the wall.

Requirements: Operators
certification and all necessary tools for
the job. 5 years commercial steel erection
experience. Travel required.
Recommended: Experience
on Wal-Mart jobsites.
Duties: Duties include
hanging steel on commercial jobsites, predominatntly
Wal-Mart. Coordination with superintendent
and welders to assure maximum effective
workflow.
Benefits: Competitive wages
and plenty of overtime. Bonus pay for timely
completion of job. Time off every other
week.
Requirements: Welding
certification and all necessary tools for
the job including: hard hat with welding
hood, bolt bags, spud wrenches, crescent
wrenches, 6-7 one pound hammers, harness.
5 years commercial experience. Travel required.
Recommended: Experience
on Wal-Mart jobsites.
Duties: Duties include
hanging steel on commercial jobsites, predominatntly
Wal-Mart. Coordination with superintendent
and welders to assure maximum effective
workflow.
Benefits: Competitive wages-
$15-$17 per hr. ( depending on experience)
and plenty of overtime. Laborers $11/hr.
Bonus pay for timely completion of job.
Time off every other week.
Requirements:
BA in Human Resources or similar study.
Bilingual. Strong organizational skills
and computer skills including Microsoft
Office. 3 years experience in the appropriate
field of work.
Recommended:
Experience with the construction industry
and knowledge of immigration law.
Duties: Duties include
management of paperwork for all WordCo employees
and disseminating company policies among
employees. Responsible for new hires and
Workers Comp claims, unemployment claims.
Responsible also for keeping a pulse on
the needs of field employees and notifying
proper management of these needs. This is
a crucial communications position between
management and field employees and requires
exceptional communication skills.
Benefits: Normal 40 hr.
