Crowell - President - Jeanine is second generation masonry contractor. Jeanine has spent the past 15 years as the President of WordCo Inc. Her second-nature familiarity with the industry and complete confidence in her Company’s ability to perform demonstrate the leadership that a fast-growing company needs. Jeanine’s philosophy is to build the business like She was building a family and the strong structure that results will allow for rapid growth and longevity in the business.
Dean
Crowell - Vice President and Chief Operations Officer - Dean has been involved in masonry for over 35 years. A third generation mason, he started supervising projects at the age of 16. Building his business on the strong moral code and hard work ethic, WordCo has grown from a dream in 1994 to a 150 – 200 employee operation. Dean Takes an active role in the day to day operations with frequent visits to the company jobsite locations. Dean's commitment to quality, integrity and innovation are the driving force in WordCo's emergence as an industry leader.
Ian
Lawrence - Chief Financial Officer -
Ian has considerable experience in the areas
of finance, business strategy and business
development. Ian qualified as a Chartered
Accountant with KPMG in London over 20 years
ago. Since then he has held senior positions
with Wickes Building Supplies, Price Waterhouse
Coopers and has run his own successful management
consulting firm. Ian has been actively involved
in advising a number of clients, ranging
from small companies to "blue chip"
clients. He has helped them on their location
studies, as well as advising them on their
corporate strategies and raising finance
from external sources both public and private
across Europe and the US. Ian is responsible
for day to day accounting functions and
future growth strategies.
Julie Lawrence - Sec./Treasurer and Financial Controller- Julie has trained
as a cost and management accountant with
Kodak and has over 20 years experience.
She also spent 5 years lecturing in accountancy
and business studies at the college level.
Julie will be overseeing the day to day
running of the accounting function to ensure
strong financial control is maintained as
the company continues growth.
Mike
Roberts - Senior Project Manager - Mike comes to us with both considerable construction and management experience. Mike is responsible for organizing multiple jobsite operations, ordering materials and developing vendor relations on new projects and supervising other PM's and PM assistants.
Ed Spangler - Project Manager - Ed Spangler comes to us with an extensive background in the construction industry. His father was a masonry and cement contractor. After spending time in the U.S. Air Force as a Logistics Load Planner Ed started his own residential construction company. He later signed on with Lowe’s Home improvement and retired in 2002 as a Lowe’s store manager of big box stores. Ed then worked as a Business Manager for a land developing company. He is currently a lic. general contractor and real estate broker in North Carolina. He and his wife Janice live in Wilkesboro NC where they own and operate “Selah Realty”. Ed brings experience and management expertises that will be a valuable asset to WordCo, Inc. and help us achieve total customer satisfaction and a job well done.
Luis Dorta - Head Estimator - Luis was born in Caracas, Venezuela; later moving to Mami Florida with his family where he completed his studies up to the High School level. Luis then attended the University of Miami where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in 1984 and then went on to obtain a Masters Degree of Construction Management from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta Georgia in 1985. Since then Luis has worked in the Construction business as Owner of Desarrollos y Promociones Dorta C.A., in Caracas, Venezuela from 1986 up to 2002, as a Commercial and Residential Construction firm. He then returned to Miami Florida with His Family and worked as Project Manager and Estimator for ARQ Construction Corp. from 2003 up to 2007, a Commercial and Residential Construction Corporation basically dedicated to the Concrete Business. Today with more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry Luis works as Head Estimator for WordCo, Inc.
Patsy Garza - HR Manager - Patsy comes to us with considerable experience in Bi-Lingual Human resource Management. Patsy's strong work ethic, honesty and integrity is a definite plus in today's highly competitive market. Patsy has been with Wordco since 2006. She is responsible for all aspects of the Employee/Employer relationship in addition to creating policy, assisting with payroll and maintaining an open door policy for all employee support.
